1966 Burbank Benge MLP Bb trumpet SOLD email us about this trumpet - admin@centex-brass.com This is a 1966 Burbank Benge MLP in very good original condition. Also known as the 3x+ or Medium Large Plus model, it has a .464 bore. This trumpet is clean inside and out and the leadpipe is clean and clear; no signs of red rot. All slides are smooth. Original silver plating is good and engraving is sharp and clear. Valves are in original condition showing some staining, but with great compression. Has "3" stamped on the connecting ferrule on the bell tail. Matching 4 digit serial numbers on all three valves. The MLP was developed during the Burbank period and were sought by west coast commercial players. This one has had a little work to spot plate some worn areas on the valve casing and to replace a non original mouthpiece receiver with an original style Benge receiver. Charlie Melk performed the work. The leadpipe is original and shows no sign of red rot. Does not come with a case.
