1933 "The
Olds"trumpet email us about this trumpet - admin@centex-brass.com This is a 1933 Olds "The Olds" model Bb trumpet. It is a medium bore silver plated model. This trumpet is in excellent condition with plating compeltely intact and valves that have like new compression. The valves have most likely been replated and perhaps the horn has been replated, but there are a number of curious things about this trumpet. It has traditional water keys, which appear to be original. Olds trumpets of this vintage normally have lever style water keys, but the water key nipples appear to be original as well as the water key braces. This trumpet also has bottom caps that are flat on the bottom, rather than the normal rounded style.While these "non-standard" features may be modifications, at least in terms of the water keys, they appear to be original and while Olds had some common features, in the ealry years, there was often a custom modification or a deviation from the standard. As such, this is quite an interesting trumpet. This trumpet clean inside and out. All slides are smooth. Engraving is sharp and clear Does not come with a case.
