1946 Olds Super Bb trumpet $900 plus shipping Payment, shipping and return policiesemail us about this trumpet - admin@centex-brass.com This is a 1946 Los Angeles Olds Super in original condition. The lacquer is worn as shown, but there are no dents or signs of repairs. The only cosmetic flaw other than worn lacquer is some damage near the bottom of the third valve casing. The bottom cap is fine, so not likely plier marks, but obviously something made some deep scratches. Valves work fine and no evidence that this caused other problems. Small amount of plating wear on the valves, but compression is very good in all 3 valves. The early post war Supers are considered some of the best Supers ever made and this one was made during a brief period of using all brass (instead of nickel silver) tone rings. Most Supers of this vintage are missing the original 1st slide saddle, the stop rod mechanism, or one or more bottom caps/finger buttons are not original. This one is all original with matching serial numbers throughout. For the money, there probably isn't a better playing trumpet to be found. This would be a great start for an Olds collection with a minimal investment. It could always be restored in the future, but is a great player just as it is. This trumpet clean inside and out. All slides are smooth. Engraving is sharp and clear Does not comes with a case. FEATURES:
