1935 Olds Super Bb trumpet SOLD Payment, shipping and return policiesemail us about this trumpet - admin@centex-brass.com This is a 1935 Los Angeles Olds Super in original condition. Robb Stewart has recently updated information on Olds serial numbers and some of the horns previously thought to be from 1932 or so were actually 3-4 years later. Not that it makes much difference... this is still a 4 digit Super which means is it is pretty much a custom hand made trumpet of the highest qualily. The lacquer is worn as shown and the horn is mostly raw brass. There is a tiny spot of red rot in the middle of the leadpipe, but no signs of damage on the inside. We had Charlie Melk give this horn a once over and he recommended keeping the original pipe since there is only one spot and it does not appear to have spread in the pipe. A replacment pipe can be provided that is a suitable replacment if this horn is to be restored in the future.. This is from a brief period of Supers that are marked with SYM for Symphony Bore on the middle valve, but it measures out as a .460 bore at the middle valve. The leadpipe also has an "S" marked near the end of the receiver. These early Supers feature a wider and hand engraved nickel silver tone ring or garland on the bell flare,This hore is all original with matching serial numbers throughout. This trumpet clean inside and out. All slides are smooth. Engraving is sharp and clear Does not comes with a case. FEATURES:
