1948 Olds Super Recording Bb trumpet SOLD Payment, shipping and return policiesemail us about this trumpet - admin@centex-brass.com This is a 1948 Olds Super Recording that has been restored by master brass craftsman Charlie Melk. The Super Recording represents the pinnacle of Olds craftsmanship and was the horn that attracted legendary trumpet virtuoso Rafael Mendez to become an Olds artist and later to lend his name to the Mendez model. The Super Recording was actually known at the time as the "Recording model Super trumpet." Prior to its introduction in Olds lineup, the Super was the top model. Thus the new model built on the reputation of the Super. The restoration work was recently completed, so the horn is in mint restored condition. The engraving is crystal clear which is an indication of the care taken during the restoration. The valves have been replated and refitted with a precision valve alignment. This trumpet clean inside and out. All slides are smooth. Engraving is sharp and clear Valves have been rebuilt at Anderson's and are like new. Comes with a well worn Olds case.
