This is a Conn 2B New World Symphony Bb trumpet. This version of the 2B was made from 1926 to 1932 and was the top of the line professional horn for Conn at the time.  It has a 0.458" bore and top sprung valves and one of the few Conn trumpets ever made with a first valve saddle.  The Conn Loyalist has some interesting information about this model. Conn Loyalist 2B New York Symphony.

What Conn said in 1927:  "New World Symphony 2-B Trumpet Destined to Become Most Popular Trumpet in the World". Flexibility of scale never before attained in any other trumpet, a superb "trumpet tone" without one blatant crack or trace of "squeal" from low F to the top of the scale, rich and solid in fortissimo and zephyr-like in pianissimo, faultless intonation throughout the complete range! "Most perfect trumpet the world has ever seen" is the way some of the most celebrated symphony and concert artists have characterized our new 2-B trumpet."

This trumpet is in very good original condition.  By all appearances, the silver plating is original and inside of the bell flare still has the original gold plating.  There are a few areas of plating loss and wear, but for a horn that is nearing its 90th birthday, it is quite uncommon to find one in original condition like this.   Valve compression and action is excellent.  All slides move smoothly.  Includes first and third slide stop rods, as well as the original "A/Bb quick change" stop rod.  Bell engraving is sharp and crisp.  Only visitable from the underside of the bell is block engraving of a previous (likely original) owner, William John Lawrence.

Includes the original warranty card and owners manual in excellent condition as well as lyre and a few accessories that appear to be original to the horn.

Comes with a 1950's or 60's era Conn case which fits this horn very well.
